line-height: 1.35;\" data-fontsize=\"24\" data-lineheight=\"32.4px\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">Datos alarmantes sobre la salud materna y neonatal<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">La OMS<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> destaca cifras sobre la salud materna y neonatal a nivel mundial: cada a\u00f1o, casi <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">300.000 mujeres<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> mueren durante el embarazo o el parto, mientras que <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">m\u00e1s de 2 millones de beb\u00e9s<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; En particular, deber\u00eda reducirse la mortalidad neonatal a un m\u00e1ximo de 12 muertes por cada 1.000 nacidos vivos y la mortalidad de menores de cinco a\u00f1os a un m\u00e1ximo de 25. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">Sin embargo, las proyecciones actuales son cr\u00edticas y estos objetivos corren el riesgo de no cumplirse: si no se intensifican los esfuerzos, 4 de cada 5 pa\u00edses no lograr\u00e1n reducir la mortalidad materna para 2030, y 1 de cada 3 no lograr\u00e1 reducir la mortalidad neonatal.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 24; line-height: 1.35;\" data-fontsize=\"24\" data-lineheight=\"32.4px\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">La profunda divisi\u00f3n entre el Norte y el Sur Global<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">Para revertir esta tendencia, se necesita un compromiso mundial que garantice <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">un acceso equitativo a una atenci\u00f3n de alta calidad<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, especialmente en <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">los pa\u00edses del Sur Global<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, donde se produce la gran mayor\u00eda de las muertes maternas y neonatales. En <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">\u00c1frica subsahariana<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, los reci\u00e9n nacidos tienen posibilidades de supervivencia significativamente diferentes a las de otros pa\u00edses del mundo: en 2022, esta regi\u00f3n registr\u00f3 una <\/span><\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"><a style=\"color: var(--awb-color5);\" href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news-room\/fact-sheets\/detail\/newborn-mortality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">tasa de mortalidad neonatal<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> de aproximadamente 27 muertes por cada 1.000 nacidos vivos, la m\u00e1s alta a nivel mundial. Aqu\u00ed, un beb\u00e9 tiene 11 veces m\u00e1s probabilidades de morir en el primer mes de vida que uno nacido en Australia o Nueva Zelanda. Al mismo tiempo, la regi\u00f3n posee <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"><a style=\"color: var(--awb-color5);\" href=\"https:\/\/worldpopulationreview.com\/country-rankings\/total-fertility-rate#fertility-rates-in-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">la tasa de fecundidad<\/span><\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">m\u00e1s alta<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> del mundo, con una media de 4,6 hijos por mujer, frente a los 1,4 hijos de Europa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">Estos datos reflejan la <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">profunda divisi\u00f3n entre el Norte y el Sur Global<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">\u00a0y ponen de <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">relieve graves desigualdades en el acceso a la atenci\u00f3n materna y neonatal.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> La falta de instalaciones sanitarias adecuadas y la escasez de personal calificado siguen representando un obst\u00e1culo para millones de madres y reci\u00e9n nacidos hoy en d\u00eda. Por lo tanto, es esencial fortalecer las inversiones en atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y en la capacitaci\u00f3n del personal, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">para que el nacimiento de un ni\u00f1o deje de ser una cuesti\u00f3n de supervivencia. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 24; line-height: 1.35;\" data-fontsize=\"24\" data-lineheight=\"32.4px\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">Plan de acci\u00f3n de la OMS: m\u00e1s inversi\u00f3n y atenci\u00f3n de calidad<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">Para abordar esta crisis se necesita no s\u00f3lo aumentar la financiaci\u00f3n de la atenci\u00f3n obst\u00e9trica y neonatal, sino tambi\u00e9n <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">una inversi\u00f3n a largo plazo en la salud materna<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, incluido el apoyo posparto y la prevenci\u00f3n de enfermedades no transmisibles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">La OMS<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> destaca la importancia de <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">una atenci\u00f3n sanitaria personalizada<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> que <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">se centre en las necesidades de las mujeres antes<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, durante y despu\u00e9s del parto. En este sentido, el programa <\/span><\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"><a style=\"color: var(--awb-color5);\" href=\"https:\/\/ewene.org\/accelerate-maternal-and-newborn-survival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">EWENE \u2013 Cada mujer, cada reci\u00e9n nacido, en todas partes<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, implementado por la OMS en colaboraci\u00f3n con<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> UNICEF<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\"> y <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">UNFPA<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Lexend; font-weight: 300;\" data-contrast=\"auto\" data-fusion-font=\"true\" data-fusion-google-font=\"Lexend\" data-fusion-google-variant=\"300\">, tiene como objetivo alcanzar estos objetivos centr\u00e1ndose en mejorar la equidad y la calidad de la atenci\u00f3n para las mujeres embarazadas, las nuevas madres y los reci\u00e9n nacidos en los pa\u00edses del Sur Global.
